The Shakoors, who migrated from Afghanistan to Australia 36 years ago, sought to share their culinary legacy with the local Afghan community and beyond. Located on Main Street Mornington, the restaurant quickly became a popular locale due to its enticing dishes and charming Afghan decor. With seating for 85, and capacity for up to 110 during special functions, it’s a vibrant community hub.
They also feature a licensed bar, serving local wines, beers, and spirits. Afghan Marcopolo Restaurant offers its menu for both table service and takeaway, perfect for enjoying by the nearby Mornington foreshore.
