Avani Wines is a family-owned winery on the Mornington Peninsula, established by Shashi and Devendra Singh. Recognised as a small-batch producer of premium cool-climate wines, their portfolio includes syrah, pinot noir, chardonnay, and vibrant skin-contact varieties.
They manage their estate vineyard biodynamically, while the additional three sites are farmed organically or sustainably. Winemakers, Shashi and her son Rohit, focus on minimising additions, using wild yeast fermentation, and keeping wines unfiltered and unfined to narrate the story of each site and growing season.
The winery also houses a rustic, award-winning cellar door, open every weekend from 11:00am to 5:00pm, and featured as Gourmet Traveller’s Best Small Cellar Door for Mornington in 2022. Avani Wines also hosts pop-up events with top Melbourne chefs during the summer.
