Portsea Estate is a distinguished vineyard in South East Australia, situated on the historic Tintagel property at the furthest point of Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, with views of the Bass Strait. The vineyard’s unique ‘terroir’ is shaped by extensive limestone deposits and a top soil of calcareous sand and humus, accumulated over millennia.
These limestone-rich, free-draining soils create an exceptional environment for cultivating Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The resultant wines are complex, layered with distinct character and notable minerality, embodying the essence of their surroundings. Visitors seeking to savor these exquisite wines can do so through tastings, however, these are open strictly by appointment only.
