Tar Barrel, a popular spot on the Mornington Peninsula, derives its name from its history as a storage site for tar barrels during road construction. Situated in Mornington’s industrial area, the venue has witnessed the reunion of Matt Bebe and Andrew Gow, who continue their legacy of producing award-winning craft beers.
The recent introduction of an onsite distillery broadens Tar Barrel’s offerings, featuring gin and vodka, with an Australian whiskey, akin to Bourbon, slated for release in March 2023. Both core and specialty beers are available on tap, complemented by local wines and spirits.
Expanding their culinary offerings in November 2022, in addition to their renowned wood-fired pizzas, an American BBQ Smoker will be added to the venue. Tar Barrel presents an enriching experience not to be overlooked.
